Estudo realizado por pesquisadores da universidade de São Paulo (usp), avaliou 186 indivíduos hospitalizados com COVID19 moderada ou grave e identificou que aqueles que tinham mais força e massa muscular tendiam a permanecer menos tempo internado.
Os resultados, portanto, sugerem que esses indicadores podem ajudar a prever o tempo de internação pela doença.
Eles podem ser úteis para um trabalho preventivo com indivíduos com maior risco de agravamento, ao mesmo tempo que indicam onde haverá uma possível necessidade de atenção no manejo dos sobreviventes com sequelas da COVID19.
