O deputado estadual Capitão Alden (PSL) tentou invadir, na manhã desta quarta-feira, leitos do Hospital Riverside, em Lauro de Freitas, na região metropolitana de Salvador, onde estão internados pacientes com a covid-19. O caso foi denunciado pela Secretaria de Saúde da Bahia. O parlamentar confirmou a “visita surpresa”, disse que tinha intenção de vistoriar a unidade e afirmou que fará o mesmo em outros dez hospitais. Ele nega ter invadido o espaço.

O segurança do parlamentar posicionou-se na porta de um dos quartos, onde estava uma paciente nua, enquanto tomava banho, segundo a Secretaria. A Polícia Militar foi acionada, após o deputado ameaçar dar voz de prisão a profissionais do hospital, e fez boletim de ocorrência.
Capitão Alden é aliado do presidente Jair Bolsonaro que, no dia 11 de junho, incentivou a população a entrar em hospitais para fiscalizar leitos. O deputado nega ter inspiração em Bolsonaro e disse ao Estadão que a “visita foi comunicada”. “Não tenho de pedir autorização para entrar. Comuniquei minha ida em abril, depois em maio, e em junho. Não preciso solicitar visita. Meu papel é fiscalizar. Não acho que o cidadão que tem de fazer isso, mas eu tenho.”
Por meio de nota, o PSL informou que a executiva estadual do partido não apoia ações de invasão a hospitais e que a fiscalização ostensiva diretamente em locais públicos cabe a Ministério Público, Tribunal de Contas e polícias.
